Gynecology Services

da Vinci® robotics-assisted surgery: Skilled surgeons guide the “hands” of the robotics-assisted da Vinci® surgery system to offer even greater precision with many surgeries, including hysterectomies. Smaller incisions are needed which lead to less blood loss and less scarring. Women heal more quickly and have a speedier recovery, getting back to daily life sooner. We think that’s good news! All of our OB and GYN physicians are certified to use the da Vinci surgery system.

Hormone replacement and menopausal care: With maturity comes a new season of life. Menopause signals changes that prompt many women to seek hormone replacement therapy, or sometimes hysterectomy can bring on the need for hormone replacement earlier than expected. Regardless of the situation, hormone replacement and menopausal care are offered through our partners at Heart of Florida OB/GYN Associates. Their experienced and certified providers help guide a woman through menopause and the physical changes it brings.

With three offices in Polk County, Heart of Florida OB/GYN Associates is easy to access and has convenient appointments available.

Incontinence and urogynecology: It may happen after you have a baby, or as you go through menopause, but statistics show that up to 50% of women may at some time suffer from urinary incontinence. There are solutions, however, and you don’t have to live with the embarrassment and limitations urinary incontinence can cause. Medical and surgical options for the treatment of incontinence and female pelvic floor disorders are available and our physicians are experts at diagnosing and treating the conditions. Talk to your doctor about incontinence and start moving toward treatment.

Family planning: Our health partners, Heart of Florida OB/GYN Associates, offer three types of birth control; temporary, long-term temporary and permanent. There are a variety of brands and methods by which birth control is achieved.

Infertility treatment: If a baby is what you dream of but nature has not yet delivered, there is treatment available. There are options ranging from semen analysis and hormone profile testing through intrauterine insemination. For more information about these methods, please talk with your gynecologist.
