                           Our 2012 Installation Luncheon was held at ChampionsGate Golf Resort on January 21st. Photos of the event can be seen on the Photo Page.
                           Our annual Christmas cookie party was held on December 8th in the hospital cafeteria. The Auxiliary treated the hospital staff to cookies, coffee and fruit punch. The High Vista Chorus performed Christmas carols, and once again did a terrific job. Special thank-yous go out to Joyce Greenwood, Wanda Yaeger, Judy Mettinger and Mary Ann Donovan for preparing the room and serving the cookies.  Pictures of that event can also be seen on the Photo Page.   

             The Service Excellence classes are now scheduled on Tuesdays from 8 AM until 10 AM. These classes are very informative and interesting. It will make your volunteer work much more rewarding. The next class is scheduled for April 3rd.

          Our TLC volunteers are always in need of more magazines and books for the patients. If you have any to donate, please drop them off at either the front desk or the gift shop. Thanks.

          The hospital nursery is looking for baby blankets to send home with the newborns. If you can knit or crochet, or can donate yarn for this, please contact the auxiliary office.  

          If you would like to volunteer more hours or want to cross-train in another department, please see Harry, Cathy or Bob in the Auxiliary office. You can help recruit more volunteers by placing our applications in your community clubhouse or by talking to your friends and neighbors and telling them about our services to the hospital.

           A reminder on the Service Excellence star-of-the-month award that HOF provides for us. Remember, you can nominate any volunteer. Just fill out the nomination forms that are found in the office next to the bulletin board. Recent awardees are Theresa Couture, Escort and Pat Davis from the Gift Shop, Gladys Burns has been selected for April. Congratulations to all.
                        
           There is a Wellness Program available for all auxilians in our Physical Therapy Department. For only $10 per month, you can take advantage of all equipment in the PT room. For additional information, stop in to the department during working hours.

           Just a reminder on our meals. This is a kindness extended to us by the hospital and we must be mindful not to be excessive or take advantage of this. One meal is offered per shift, either before or after your shift. If you do a double shift, you may have two meals. This meal includes any selection from the hot bar, to include soup or salad, entree, dessert and beverage; or a cold sandwich, soup or salad and beverage. Beverage can be soda or coffee. Fountain beverages or coffee all day. Please don't eat at your work station.     
            
           Please remember to adhere to our dress code as written on page 15 of the Yearbook.  Also, remember to round off your time card to the nearest whole hour. No 1/2 hours, please.
